Background: Castlerock Properties manages a regional headquarters for the QLD State Government in Mackay. They engaged Free Engineer to deliver a 99kWp Sungrow solar installation for the site.
How we helped: We took the time to understand Castlerock's business and objectives before stepping them through the available design options, explaining the benefits and risks of each. Our team met with them multiple times to work through technical questions on panel, inverter and mounting system choices, and local environmental considerations including cyclonic conditions and neighbouring properties, and handled all pre-installation design approvals with the network grid operator, Ergon Energy. We then partnered with a reputable local installer for the installation itself, guided Castlerock through a thorough commissioning process (including confirming the system's required interfaces with base building plant and equipment), and led them through the full regulatory approval process with Ergon Energy.
